A little bit about myself

I am originally from Alberta and moved to Cranbrook, BC in 2018 when my recovery journey from alcoholism began. I knew early in my recovery that I wanted to help others.
I began studying kinesiology and sport studies at the University of Alberta in 2010, but unfortunately, I did not graduate at the expected time due to my own struggles with alcoholism. Through humility and hard work, I was able to achieve sobriety in 2018.
At the start of my recovery, I was determined to finish what I had started. In 2019, I completed that goal and graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. Once I had completed that, I knew I wanted more.
That is when I decided to pursue my Master’s in Counselling Psychology, which I completed at the end of 2022. After finishing my graduate studies, I knew I wanted to start a private practice—but I also understood that people often need support in the evenings and on weekends. That is why I offer my services during those times. I work with people and their busy schedules.
I value my lived experience, but I also value my education. That is why I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
